Sales & Business Development Consultant

The Business Development Consultant is responsible for identifying and generating new business through outside sales activities such as prospecting, networking, territory planning and relationship building in the assigned territory. The Business Development Consultant is accountable for focusing on and generating business through new sales and achieving the targeted split of business (Staff Augmentation and Consulting Projects) determined in collaboration with the executive.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an effective sales plan to meet or exceed established sales targets.

Perform appropriate prospecting and screening activities to identify qualified prospects for new business development.

Use the consultative sales strategy to effectively overcome client objections and maximize sales activity within assigned territory.

Establish and maintain good public relations and networking within the community to develop new business.

Collaborate with appropriate internal resources to develop comprehensive sales presentation materials tailored to the account.

Make formal sales presentations and follow-up calls to prospective new business accounts.

Collaborate with internal service staff to ensure that accounts sold are consistent with service resources and candidate pool.

Interface with appropriate Practice Area Management to establish pricing for quotes and bids that are consistent with the company's financial objectives.

Maintain written documentation of sales activities in order to facilitate appropriate reporting on a weekly basis to direct report and President.

Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by E2 Consulting Inc. and awareness of the competition i.e. market share, pricing, services offered, etc.

The expected target in will be determined by the service area.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business or related field

Experience

Five (5) years of related experience with a minimum of three (3) years within IT / Technical Sales.

Skills

Successful track record of selling medium to large size accounts

Strong sales presentation and persuasion skills

Effective leadership and staff management skills

Demonstrated organizational and planning skills

Ability to effectively work autonomously with minimal management direction

Effective rapport-building and relationship management skills

Ability to take initiative and manage time effectively

Remuneration
